Dallas startup buys Plum Creek facilities

A Dallas health care startup has taken charge of an Amarillo specialty hospital and nursing facility.

Concord Healthcare Group, formed in October, recently closed its purchase of a portfolio of properties from Compass Pointe Healthcare System that includes Plum Creek Specialty Hospital and Plum Creek Healthcare Residence. The cost of the transaction was not disclosed.

Concord also acquired Heritage Manor Healthcare Residence and Plano Specialty Hospital at Plano and Mesa Hills Healthcare Residence and Mesa Hills Specialty Hospital at El Paso in the deal.

Concord has been in growth mode, said Scott Deig, CEO of Plum Creek Specialty Hospital.

In February, the company founded by CEO Joe Neuman and President Oscar Rosenberg acquired five health centers at Lampasas, San Saba, Quitman, Mineola and Mount Vernon, according to its website. And its locations include six other facilities across Texas.
