Concord Healthcare Group , a rapidly expanding operator of Rehabilitation and Nursing Centers, has recently acquired Gardendale Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Jacksonville, Texas. Gardendale has long been recognized for its high quality of care and outstanding patient satisfaction; now under dynamic new ownership, the facility is poised to enter a new era in subacute and long-term care by building on its existing strengths and expanding its offering of community care.
Joe Neuman and Oscar Rosenberg, founding principals of Concord Healthcare Group, possess deep roots in real estate, finance, healthcare management and business development. They lead a strong and cohesive corporate team, interfacing closely with the management staff at each facility and bolstering and enhancing their delivery of care with crucial resources and support. The company’s strategic approach is to develop niche programs for each facility based on the community’s particular needs. By promoting communication with area doctors and hospitals and cultivating relationships, Concord Healthcare Group ensures that the local medical community plays an integral role in the development of key programs for each facility.
Nestled in a country-like setting, Gardendale is a four-star CMS rated facility boasting an outstanding therapy team, state-of-the-art ACP equipment, comprehensive wound care and a secure Alzheimer’s care unit. Physical, occupational and speech therapy are delivered by Reliant Rehabilitation, a leading provider of rehab management services. The Reliant team is dedicated to the maximization of functional improvement of every patient. They draw on their strong clinical and technological underpinning to produce positive outcomes.
At the center’s helm is a dedicated group of professionals. Administrator Debra Thomasson assures seamless operation and makes sure that all residents receive an unsurpassed level of care. Born and raised in Crockett, Texas, Debra has been involved in the long-term care industry since 1998. She started out as a Certified Nurse’s Aide in a local nursing home and worked her way up from a charge nurse on the floor to an administrative position. She is innately attuned to the needs of the aging population and displays a unique level of sensitivity and empathy. Joely Causey, Director of Nursing, is a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and is a licensed Registered Nurse. She has accumulated nearly twenty years of medical experience and education in various areas of patient care including disease prevention, and management of common and complex health care problems. Sarah Pryor, Marketing Director, is an East Texas native who is deeply involved in her community. She serves as the ambassador for the Palestine Chamber of Commerce, is a Rotarian, and sits on the Blanket and Bears committee, as well as Paint Palestine Pink committee which raises money and awareness of breast cancer. With over 15 years of marketing experience and a passion for volunteering, Sara is well-positioned to reach out to the Jacksonville community.
Future plans for Gardendale include the implementation of specialty rehabilitation programs such as orthopedic and tracheostomy care, as well as the creation of a dedicated subacute care unit with its own expansive gym, dining area and entrance.
